Xabi Alonso born in Tolosa, Spain on 25 November 1981. His former clubs are Real Sociedad and SD Eibar and he is currently playing for Real Madrid. He is a midfielder with a height of 183 cm.
In Liverpool he played with the jersey number 14. His real name is Xabier but most people call him Xabi. Some other people dubbed him ‘The Midfield Maestro’.
Xabi Alonso has played over 30 times with the Spanish national team and scored a goal in the 2006 World Cup in Germany. He is expected to play a key role in Spain’s attempt to win the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
