Xabi Alonso left Real Sociedad in 2004 to start playing at Liverpool, in England at the Premier League. He made his debut against Bolton on 29 of August of 2004. This great Spanish player scored his first goal with Liverpool against Fulham on 16 October of 2004, shooting an amazing free kick.

Xabi Alonso was considered as one of the best midfielders in the Premiership during his spell at Liverpool, his footballing talent and play-making ability gave him unique attributes no one possessed. His good passes and smart shots made him the envy of every club in the division, but it was Real Madrid who claimed Alonso in the summer of 2009.
